The Centre is looking for a Carers Support Officer knowledgeable in the rights of adult Carers, to provide empathy and appropriate advice and support; you will be supporting Carers face to face, over the telephone, via email or using other communication technology.

You will organize and facilitate Carer support groups/events as part of a small and dedicated team. Responding to the needs of Carers requesting assistance as well as the aims and ambitions of the Centre.

  • The Person Specification (in the Job Description above) provides you with a breakdown of the skills, knowledge and experience required to succeed in the role and highlights whether these are either essential or desirable to the role.
  • The successful candidate will ideally have some Health and Social Care/Voluntary Sector experience.
  • You will be able to problem solve and be IT literate and be knowledgeable in Safeguarding and GDPR good practice.

Hours & Pay

This is a Part Time post of 28 hours per week, 4 working days.

Holiday: 25 days and Bank Holidays, pro-rata

Salary: £26,000 pro-rata

Contract: 3 Years with extension subject to ongoing funding
