Family/unpaid carers can now be considered priority/frontline staff and therefore entitled to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible.

If you are providing unpaid care for at least one person who is CLINICALLY VULNERABLE within the borough of Enfield, and you are registered with ECC, Enfield Council and our local health authority (the NHS North Central London (NCL) Clinical Commissioning Group) have agreed that family/unpaid carers can now be considered as priority/frontline staff and therefore entitled to get the vaccine as soon as possible.

Print a copy of the permission letter for carers produced by Enfield Council.  You should show a copy of this letter if asked to do so. You will also need to show your gold ECC Carers Registration Card with this letter.

Please note that only the main carer will be entitled to receive the vaccine using this route.  Other family members will have to wait until they are called for a vaccine according to the Government’s guidelines.

There is an online waiting list where you need to add your name and contact details, if you are the main carer of a clinically vulnerable person.

The online waiting list will be shared with GP surgeries and NHS Trust sites who are delivering COVID vaccinations. They will contact you directly to arrange an appointment. This might be at short notice and may require a degree of travel to one of the sites that are in NCL (subject to availability).
