Over the last week the number of COVID-19 cases across the country and in Enfield has steadily increased.
We know that our most vulnerable residents, especially people who are over 60, are the worst affected.
Enfield Council have published some important messages that will help protect everyone, stop the spread of the virus and prevent a local lockdown.
Please see the latest update.
- None of us in Enfield want to go into a local lockdown. Remember to: Wash your hands for 20 seconds. Wear face coverings on public transport and public indoor spaces. Keep your distance – two metres from people not in your household. Please do your part to keep Enfield Safe.
- Please do your part to keep Enfield Safe. It’s really important we continue to follow social distancing rules and all other public health advice to stop the spread of the virus, protect our older residents and reduce the chances of a local lockdown.
- New government rules say you should not socialise in groups of more than two households indoors or socialise with more than six people either indoors or outdoors. For more information and guidance visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus
- The NHS is preparing to make the flu vaccine available and will contact you if you are eligible. By having the winter flu vaccine, you can help reduce pressure on the NHS and help to protect yourself and others from winter flu.
