You will be leading a sponsorship fundraising campaign to help raise contributions for a well-established local charity providing for unpaid carers through its annual ‘family fun day’ event to be held on Saturday 10th June 2023
The purpose of the Corporate Sponsorship Fundraiser is to advise / take the lead for strategy and delivery of our Charity’s Carers Week Family Fun Day sponsorship and fundraising.
This is an important event for ECC which brings in fundraising of between £5-10k and is an opportunity for us to engage with the local community in Enfield and raise our profile and awareness of family and unpaid carers’ needs. We approach local businesses to fundraise through donation, donation in kind, and sponsorship packages.
Ideally, we would like someone with experience of creating, planning and delivery of sponsorship. If you have experience of fundraising for similar charitable events, this would be a distinct advantage but is not essential; otherwise we are looking for a mix of related or transferable skills including fundraising, event sponsorship, lead generation, sponsorship negotiation and contracting, who could work with us for a period of 3 to 6 months and start as soon as possible, given our event date.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO and the senior management team to plan and lead the sponsorship fundraising campaign for our Family Fun Day which takes place on Saturday 10th June 2023.
We are looking for a volunteer to help us with:
- planning, project managing and delivering donations and sponsorship for the Family Fun Day to help us achieve our fundraising targets.
- Researching target sponsors
- Excellent proposal writing skills (or the digital marketing team can create these and other marketing materials.)
- Advice on additional resources required
