On Wednesday 23rd August, a group of young carers from Enfield Carers Centre visited the Sealife Centre and the beach at Southend.

Many of the young carers we support don’t get the opportunity to visit the seaside often and they really appreciated the chance to have some time just for themselves, enjoy a day out, and meet new friends!

A HUGE ‘thank you’ to the Jack Petchey Foundation, Churchfield School, and the Rotary Club of Bush Hill Park for helping us to fund this trip. Plus we are continually grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund who fund our whole Young Carers Project.
You gave these young carers a day they will never forget, and gave them the chance to have respite from their caring role and just be children for a while.
