The Money Advice Service is now MoneyHelper.

MoneyHelper joins up money and pensions guidance to make it quicker and easier to find the right help, MoneyHelper brings together the support and services of three government-backed financial guidance providers: the Money Advice Service, the Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise.

They have over 500 resources including articles and interactive tools such as the Budget planner and Mortgage Calculator for you to use.

Citizens Advice Enfield

Citizens Advice Enfield is a charity that offers free, accessible advice to anyone who lives in Enfield.

Citizens Advice service’s work involves providing advice on issues such as debt management and welfare benefits, housing, immigration and asylum, employment, consumer complaints and landlord-tenant disputes. Citizens Advice calculated that in 2016 it helped 2.7 million people with 6.3 million problems.

Turn2us is a national charity that helps people in financial hardship. They help people in financial need gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and other financial help – online, by phone and face to face through their partner organisations.

Use their free and easy-to-use Benefits Calculator and Grants Search tools to check what benefits you might be able to claim and what grants you might be able to apply for.

Mary Ward Legal Centre

The Mary Ward Legal Centre provides free, independent advice to people who live and work in London to help them access their legal rights and entitlements.

Carers can book individual one-hour appointments with a specialist legal adviser from the Mary Ward Legal Centre.

Whether you have one debt or several debts, and if your debt is large or small, they can help with:

  • Rent, mortgage & council tax arrears
  • Credit debts, bankruptcy and Debt Relief Orders
  • Magistrates court debt
  • Replying to or enforcement of county court claims
  • Unpaid gas/electricity bills
  • Service charge arrears and forfeiture proceedings
  • Benefits overpayments
