We are looking for Volunteers to support the smooth running of day care sessions by helping create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all.
Intended outcomes
A warm, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere is consistently maintained during day care sessions.
Attendees experience improved wellbeing, engagement, and confidence through regular social interaction and attentive support.
Day care sessions run smoothly, with refreshments and shared spaces well organised, clean, and safe.
Positive relationships are built and maintained between attendees, volunteers and staff, supporting a strong sense of community.
Additional related responsibilities may be added, these will be included after consultation and agreement with the volunteers.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and light refreshments.
Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly conversation.
Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Keep the kitchen and refreshment area clean, tidy, and well‑stocked
Wash up and maintain cleanliness of utensils and surfaces.
Follow basic food hygiene and health & safety guidelines.
Assist with setting up and packing away before and after sessions.
