Who is a Young Adult Carer?

Young Adult Carers are young people aged 16–25 who care, unpaid, for a family member or friend with an illness, disability, mental health condition, or an addiction.

1-2-1 Mentoring Support

Enfield Carers Centre has started a mentoring service to offer 1-2-1 support to those aged 18-25 years.

Transitional Assessments

If you are aged 17½ – 18 years and provide unpaid essential care for an adult, you have a right to a Transitional Assessment.

Mental Health Support

Organisations, counselling, and resources that can support your Mental Health.

Financial Support

Financial support is available for Young Adult Carers.

Work Experience and Employability

Work experience, employment, training, and other opportunities are available for Young Adult Carers.
