Training towards employment for Young People

The Cornerstone Project

The Cornerstone Project offers a free employability course, tuition, and training for young people aged 16-24 years.

Through this course, you will gain the necessary skills for employment and the tools you need to successfully thrive in any workplace.

Sessions will run over 19 weeks (this will also include self-study).

There will also be opportunities to do a live interview in a scheduled workshop.

Groundwork training for young people who are NEET

Groundwork London have a programme to support NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) 16–24-year-olds to access the training they need to move forward into employment, training or further education.

The programme is split in three: Accredited Training; One-to-one Support; and Assistance toward Employment/Education.

Free high-quality interview-appropriate clothing and interview coaching for women

Smart Works is a UK charity that helps women aged 16 years and over into work through coaching, clothing, and confidence.

Smart Works offer interview preparation support for unemployed women, including a styling session providing interview clothes that are free of charge and yours to keep, and a one-to-one interview coaching session to help build confidence.

They can also support with a Career Coaching appointment if you don’t yet have a confirmed upcoming interview but are actively looking for work.

The clothing is of high quality from beautiful brands.

All appointments can be in-person or virtual via Zoom.

Smart Works supports all women, including transgender women, and non-binary people who feel their gender expression connects with the Smart Works service and wardrobe. Take a look at their website here.
