What we offer

A typical day at Connections

When you walk through the door at Connections, you’re greeted by our helpful staff, who are ready to make your day safe, smooth, and enjoyable.

You will be made to feel welcome and valued from the very start.

The morning begins with warm smiles and a fresh cup of tea or coffee. It’s a chance to settle in, chat, and feel part of something special.

Soon after, the energy picks up with light exercise or a lively singing session — because moving and music bring joy to everyone. Of course, if this isn’t for you, we have quiet spaces where you can relax or choose an activity you prefer.

As the day unfolds, you’re invited to join activities that support your health and wellbeing, as well as spark curiosity and laughter.

Maybe it’s Film Club, where we share a classic movie and the stories behind it, or perhaps a fun memory game designed to keep minds active while enjoying a good laugh together.

By then, you’ll be ready for lunch and the opportunity to share a relaxed, freshly cooked meal where conversation flows. This is where friendships form and new connections are made.

After lunch, creativity takes centre stage with arts and crafts or skill-sharing workshops. There’s always something new to learn or try.

We wrap up with light-hearted games or music, leaving everyone with a smile and a sense of belonging.

At Connections, every day is about more than just activities — it’s about feeling valued, staying active, and enjoying life together.

Mark, the Manager of Connections, says, “Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where every person feels valued, engaged, and supported.”

The Connections team is ready to assist you from the moment you arrive, and our friendly staff will help you with any needs, making sure you feel safe, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the day ahead.

What activities and services do we provide?

Mark joined Enfield Carers Centre initially as a volunteer and then became a staff member in 2016.

Mark has personal experience of being a Carer.

He has been a key part of designing Connections and how it will operate.

Mark says:

“At Connections, every person is treated with care, respect, and kindness. We know the trust families place in us, and we’re committed to creating a safe, welcoming place where people feel valued.”

“Our focus is on more than just care — we offer companionship, activities, and a sense of community that bring joy and connection to each day.”

“Families often tell us they feel peace of mind knowing their loved ones are with us, supported by a team that truly cares.”
